About the Foundation
Compassion and development, working as one.
We were formed to move beyond temporary relief and build long-term, dignified solutions rooted in local ownership across Kenya.

A word from the Chairman
“Our vision is a Kenya where every individual has access to opportunity, dignity, and hope.”
The Chairman, Risingh Foundation Kenya
As we worked closely with people on the ground, it became clear that development cannot be separated from compassion, and progress cannot be sustained without giving back. This realization inspired the establishment of Risingh Foundation Kenya, to move beyond temporary relief and build long-term, dignified solutions.
As Chairman, I am proud that our Foundation focuses not on handouts, but on empowerment. Whether through vertical farming to address food security, affordable housing, access to healthcare, or programmes that uplift women and youth, our work is guided by sustainability, practicality, and local ownership.
We strongly believe that no organization can create lasting impact alone. Partnerships are at the heart of everything we do. We value our sponsors, donors, faith-based institutions, corporates, NGOs, and community leaders as equal partners in progress.
As we look toward 2026 and beyond, Risingh Foundation Kenya remains committed to transparency, accountability, and measurable impact. Our vision is a Kenya where every individual has access to opportunity, dignity, and hope. I invite you to walk this journey with us.
What guides us
Six values that hold every programme to the same standard.
Sustainability
We build solutions designed to outlast our involvement, not to create dependency.
Practicality
Grounded in what communities actually need, and in what genuinely works on the ground.
Local ownership
Programmes are led and owned by the people they serve, from the very first conversation.
Transparency
Open about where support goes and what it achieves. Trust earned in the details.
Accountability
Answerable to the communities, sponsors and partners who make the work possible.
Partnership
Sponsors, donors, institutions and communities treated as equal partners in progress.
How we work
Four steps, repeated with discipline.
Listen
We begin on the ground, with the people who know the need best.
Design together
Solutions are co-created with communities, not delivered to them.
Partner and pool
We combine resources, knowledge and experience across partners.
Measure and report
Outcomes are tracked and shared, openly and honestly.
